VAT on printed material

The VAT position on distribution services is very simple, as a business service VAT is always chargeable at standart rate. With printed material being delivered, the position is far less clear cut. Generally a leaflet not specifically designed to be retained ie no voucher, no calendar, not printed on rigid card would usually not be subject to vat.
